City Tattersalls Toastmasters Club: News

2 August 2010: We are now on the World Stage! Our members Karen Stacey, DTM, and Richard Stacey, DTM, have been selected by Toastmasters International to serve at the World Championship of Public Speaking Final at the International Convention in Palm Desert California on the 14th of August. Karen will be a Judge, and Richard will be one of the Timers. 

1 July 2010: We achieved the highest recognition of 'President's Distinguished Club' for our performance in 2009/2010 (9 out of 10 goals achieved)

4 March 2010: Well, here we go again: Pieter Peeters gets a 'clean sweep' at Area 49, winning both the Evaluation and International speech contests. Which means our club has achieved the 'grand slam', winning all four Area contests for 2009-2010.

23 February 2010: Pieter Peeters wins both of our Club Evaluation and International contests! 

24 September 2009: For the second time this year, Dennis achieves the highest levels of competition, with a win at the Central Division Humorous contest.

27 August 2009: City Tatts Toastmasters gets a 'clean sweep' at the Area 49 (our new area) contest, with Dennis winning the Humorous Speech contest, and Ross winning the the Table Topics Contest. Congratulations to both!

25 August 2009: Ross Yiasemedes wins our Club Table Topics Contest, with an excellent impromptu speech entitled 'We all have a mountain to climb'.

11 August 2009: Dennis Szabo wins our Club Humorous Contest, with a hilarious speech entitled 'Little Monsters'.

17 September 2008: Our 'Dynamic Duo', Keith and Mark, both come runners-up at the Central Division Table Topics and Humorous Contests. A great achievement.

4 September 2008: Our club distinguishes itself again by getting a clean sweep at the Area One Contest, with Keith winning the Table Topics Contest and Mark winning the Humorous Contest. Congratulations to both!

2 July 2007: It is with great sadness that we learn that Annette Wheeler passed away on the weekend. Annette was a founding and very active member of our club, and contributed immensely to its growth and success. We will remember Annette for her tireless enthusiasm for all of us, our development, and Toastmasters in general. She will be missed enormously.
